Nancy has had a life-long passion for dogs; starting from when she was 8 years of age and her family acquired a black lab, “Pepper”, up through her current position as owner and operator of Tire Biter. In between she became a breeder of multiple Champion Wheaten Terriers and the manager of a small service business in the west end of Toronto.
While breeding and raising her Wheatens for 20+ years, Nancy acquired the knowledge, skills and patience necessary to show many of her home bred dogs to both their Canadian and American Championships. Among these skills are genetics, health issues, holistic care, nutrition, obedience training and “Show” grooming and conditioning.
Nancy has placed her Wheatens with families all across North America and continues to provide guidance to those seeking a first time dog or to those needing help and counseling with the passing of their beloved animal companions.
She has participated in numerous workshops, seminars and educational programs in both Canada and the US on canine behavior and training, obedience work, show handling, show grooming, nutrition and canine genetics by such renowned individuals as: Dr. Ian Billinghurst, Dr. Ian Dunbar, Judy Emmert, Cheryl Smith, Gary Vlachos and others.
It is Nancy’s most fervent desire as the proprietor of Tire Biter to provide the best-personalized and professional dog care services in the Yorkville and surrounding area.
Nancy has been with Tire Biter since 2004.
